Chartis becomes Travel Guard

Chartis Inc., a property casualty and general insurer based in the US that is the re-branded business operations of American International Group (AIG), has announced that all of its worldwide travel businesses are to operate under the brand name Travel Guard, and named Jeffery Rutledge as chairman and CEO of Travel Guard Worldwide Inc. Following the change, all Chartis travel sales and operations will be unified under the Travel Guard brand and will be known as Travel Guard, a Chartis company.
In his position as chairman and CEO, Rutledge will oversee the travel businesses as well as overseeing the Travel Guard operations in the US and Canada, which are led by Dean Sivley. Kristian Moor, president and CEO of Chartis, commented on the changes: "Travel Guard is a market-leading brand name that we believe will benefit from its extensions worldwide and from an association with the Chartis name. The creation of a global Travel Guard name, under the Chartis umbrella, and the appointment of Jeff as the unit's worldwide head, are two important steps in our effort to create a more integrated global organisation that will benefit all our stakeholders."
